I met Nikos Halkitis and Wendy Wilcox from the Symi Visitor in August 1999, during a first visit to Symi. To cut a long story short, I offered to write a website for them and seven years later it is still growing... I live and work as a languages teacher in the UK-Bolton in Lancashire-so everything you see and read on the website is sent to me via e-mail, apart from the photos I took on subsequent visits to the island in April and August 2000, July/August 2001, July/August 2002, April 2003, July 2003, October 2003, April 2004, July/August 2004, July/August 2005 and most recently Summer 2006. I try to keep the site updated as regularly as possible, both with words and pictures.
