| Veronika Hasel was looking for an idyllic and romantic island to have her wedding ceremony. She contacted The Symi Visitor website for ideas on Symi. One of our readers, Norman Askew (Kojak) suggested that St. Marina would be an ideal setting; Wendy Wilcox followed it up with Veronika. Veronika looked at various options and agreed that this would be the perfect setting. She and her husband Eric with 40 guests who had travelled from Austria and America, had a sunset ceremony outside St. Marina monastery and then sailed to a local restaurant to celebrate. Veronika, who has a production company in America, used her professional skills and with Wendy Wilcox (The Symi Visitor) as a local co-ordinator, organised the flights, accommodation and transfers for 40 guests, the decorating of St. Marina island, restaurant and the boat using props from around Symi and a shopping spree in Athens and Rhodes. Congratulations to Veronika and Eric Kalabacos. |
