This charming restored double-storey house for two is situated on the
south-facing clock tower side of the harbour. Access is via
100
steps going up by the Alpha Bank.
Tucked behind a taller building, the house is in a sheltered location
and enjoys interesting views towards the entrance of the harbour and
the sea.
The ground floor consists of a small traditional kitchen, which can be
accessed either from the lane or via a door into the entrance
courtyard. Another door from the lane opens onto steps
leading to
the upper storey. The upper storey comprises a salon and
bathroom
with a romantic moussandra bedroom above the salon. Doors
from
the salon lead onto the terrace formed by the kitchen roof, perfect for
dining al fresco while enjoying the sweep of Symi’s famous
amphitheatre harbour.
Ideal for a couple who want something authentic, close to the
bustle
of the harbour and who don’t mind a bit of a
climb. It is a particularly good location for spring
and autumn, as it is on the sunny side of the harbour when other areas
are in shadow. Close vehicle access suitable for scooters or hire cars
from the back of the town via the helipad at the back of the house.
