Mule House

When the English owner of this Village House first passed by this property in the early 1990's, there was a new-born mule stabled in the ground floor. Even in this new millennium, every day you will see mules and donkeys being worked as they have been for thousands of years. But this is Symi; timeless, tranquil, simple, the ideal retreat to relax and soak in the peaceful day to day life of a Greek villager.

The house, now fully restored to traditional Symiot standards, is in Chorio, the high village, overlooking the enchanting Bay of Pedi, with its blue waters and the distant Turkish coastline.  The south-facing balcony looks towards the mountain side, beyond the village and has uninterrupted sunshine from dawn until dusk

.The elegant and cool living area with lounge/kitchen offers shade, comfort and the same views from large windows to the front and side.

Sleeping areas are based in a large cool bedroom on the ground floor and a traditional mousandra-bed platform high in the ceiling of the lounge area; both will accommodate two people. Bathroom/toilet is accessed both from the lower bedroom and the outer stairs.
